Good Job Diary
April 15 of last year I had the pool sweeper going and cleaning of pool had already begun. I thought the whole reason for pool diary was to keep track of when the oak blossoms stop falling. I am assuming that it was mid April last year if I was already cleaning pool.
I don't think blossoms are still falling very heavily although I am still seeing them in my pool. Taking the cover off really cooled the pool down and after vacuuming and brushing the sides today, my water is now green.
I do feel optimistic about getting the pool in order by May 30. I am taking pool sweeper to Hill tomorrow to work on. At least I didn't have to pay them to come work on the pump/filter this year.
I also ran W7 D1 today, 25 minutes running. My avg speed is still 14.x but that's ok. It was windy but not as bad as it gets later in the day. I am hoping that I can go run tomorrow early again. I came straight back today and went to work on the pool. I am feeling that. :)

It's Always About the Water
Water is always somehow involved. I have believed in the past that something supernatural is occurring with this house or land that is always causing water problems. It has in the past on many occasions stressed me out, but today I am feeling better prepared to deal.
Today, we took the cover off the pool. I thought that having the cover would mean a nice clean pool. I was wrong. I think it is the worst that I have ever seen it. I have until May 25ish to get it perfect because we are having a party for Bibianna's graduation on May 30th. Here are the pictures. I compared to last year and I had the pool swimmable by mid-May. I also spent $200 on chemicals today. I really don't know why we don't dispense with the chemicals and put fish in there.
Then, I noticed some very beautiful roses in the corner of the yard. For some reason I didn't take pics. I will try to do so later...probably while the plumber is digging them up. I made Joey go smell them with me because really you should always stop to smell the roses. (The yellow ones smell the best, btw.) He noticed a wet spot in the ground by the water main. I am just laughing. I guess I will be calling a plumber/sprinkler system company tomorrow. How will I pay? IDK.
Oh, and I have a little garden where my big bush used to be. It probably died from a hard winter, but lets say it died from lack of water in keeping with the theme of this post.

Single digits
Today we crossed the threshold into single digits. Yes that is correct, only 9 more days until our cruise. I am so excited I can't hardly stand it. I am almost all packed, already. I still need to pack my running clothes and shoes and my make-up but that is all. I can't pack either one of those until next Friday. I check the deck cams at least once a day and log onto the carnival.com website, just 'cuz. I double checked yesterday to make sure that the boarding passes and luggage tags are printed, directions to hotel in San Antonio and then from the hotel to the port. There is a tropical storm in the Atlantic called Dorian, but right now, they are expecting it to stay in the Atlantic and head of the East Coast. It's really too soon to know for sure, but that's the prediction.
I am still working on the black algae in the pool. UGH.

Prepping for 5K on May 10th
I am not sure when I will ever learn that guessing at things is really not a good idea. Last week or week before last I found a 5K in Fredericksburg that looked like fun. The race is followed with a Champagne brunch and so I signed Bibianna and I up for this race. My friend Claire who has just started the C25K again like me decided that she would do this race too. Yesterday I looked at the time line and I will only be in week 8 by May 10 even if I do double days on the next 3 weekends, so I may just have to walk/run the 5K.
Anyway, no need to worry about that now. Today I finished W5 D1 and I felt good. I ran a 14 something pace which is ok. I am really ready to do W5 D3 because that is the day I run for 20 minutes without stopping. I dreaded that day the last time and was so pumped when I finished it. I can't wait now to do it again. Motto for that day: Slow, good play list, and finish.
Going to Lubbock this afternoon for Tech Connect tomorrow with Bibs and then coming home right after so I can go on-call. Going to be a tough week but I can do this. :)
